New Beauty Bits!

Hello My Lovelies                                     How are y'all doing? I recently decided to buy a few bits for the summer season. I decided to trial new skin are from one of my favourite brands Yves Saint Laurent whilst I was looking for new summer gloss! I also bought few bits from body shop and Mac Blotting powder as my skin been getting really oily with the high temperatures. I have used the blot powder in recent years and I still love it! I got me a new fragrance for summer as well from Jean Paul Gaultier ie Madame it is an Eau de toilette so it doesn't have great staying power like perfumes do but it's not bad for this season I guess  and it's lovely and refreshing
Jean Paul Gaultier Madame Eau de  toilette  50ml bought from Debenhams

Yves Saint Laurent Anti-Ageing SKincare programme bought from Debenhams as well. Includes the new Forever Light Creator serum, Forever Youth Liberator Serum, eye creme and day creme

Clarins Toning lotion with Iris for combination/oily skin, The body shop Sweet Pea body butter for normal/dry skin, the body shop Shea butter lip butter and  Clarins daily energiser cleansing gel

Mac blot pressed powder in Dark, Yves saint Laurent golden gloss in #4 Golden fuschia. I got a free mirror from the lovely sales assistant for purchasing the Ysl serum.                                                                                  That's all for today, Hope u liked my purchases, Please share what you have bought and if you have tried any of the products I purchased. Product Love- Clarins One Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser

Hello Lovelies!

How are y'all?

Im a massive fan of Clarins, their skincare products seem to work really well with my skin
I have been using the Clarins One Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser the past 3months and I thought it was high time I shared my thoughts

Clarins One Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser
A one-step wonder. Remove make-up, gently cleanse, exfoliate and remove impurities in one action with the Clarins One Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser, all the while respecting the skin's natural balance. Tones, revives, and detoxifies for fresh, glowing skin. An essential product for those on the go!

  • Gentle cleansing agents remove makeup and thoroughly cleanse.
  • Moringa seed extract detoxifies by removing the residue and neutralising the effects of toxic air-pollution
  • Orange extract refreshes, tones, revives
  • Two types of microbeads clear pores and polish away unwanted surface oils and dead skin cells

                                             How to Use
Dispense into hand and warm between palms. Massage onto dampened skin and work into a lather, exfoliating all parts of the face whilst avoiding the delicate eye area. Rinse well with warm water

                                                       Skin type suitability.
They claim its suitable for All skintypes
If you have dry or sensitive skin you may want to get a sample because it does have some sort of fruit/sweet like scent

                                                       My thoughts
This cleanser is lovely. My skin is normal combination (oily t-zone and normal to dry cheeks) and this works well. It didnt irritate my skin or break me out. Although Clarins claim that it can be used everyday I wouldnt suggest that as exfoliating on a daily basis with this particular cleanser may dry out the skin. I tend to use it every 2 or 3 days bacause thats how my skin copes with it. The Clarins One step cleanser smells quite lovely and refreshing probably because it contains Moringa and Orange extract. It gently exfoliates and leaves my skin soft and clean without being harsh on the skin. It brightens up my skin whenever Im looking rather dull. I love that it does what it claims to do and leaves me with smooth and glowy skin.

                                Would I buy again&recommend?
YES I will definitely repurchase as this cleanser does deliver. If you looking for a great exfoliating cleanser that gives glowing smooth skin then you may want to check this next time you pass a  Clarins counter. The SA at Clarins counters are always friendly, helpful&generous with samples that you can take home and try before you commit to purchase full size. At 20quid for a cleanser it may seem rather pricey but a little does go a long way, My tube will probably last me till end of April so that means a tube will last you a good 3-4 months which is not bad in my opinion

                                              Price&Availability
Available at all Clarins counters&Clarins website, Boots, John Lewis,Debenhams, House of Fraser, Selfridges, Escentual etc and you get a tube of 125ml for £20.00 depending on where you purchase

                                               Have you tried this ?
                   Whats your favourite Exfoliator/Exfoliating Cleanser?

                                            Have a brilliant week
                                            Stay Beautiful&Blessed
                                            Much Love
                                             Sharon x

Empties Part 1

Hello Lovelies!

How have y'all been?

I have just realised I have never done an Empties post before.I love seeing posts and videos from fellow bloggers and youtubers  about products they have finished. I think its such a fun thing to do since we always show what we have bought why not show off the products that we have loved and finished? In most cases I tend to pass on products that I dislike and dont work for me to family&friends. Anyways I already have 5 empties posts lined up for you guys, I decided to split them so that I dont overwhelm you with one post lol

Clarins Daily Energizer Cream for Normal/ Dry Skin
Ensure that your skin feels supple and hydrated with the Clarins Daily Energizer Cream, a radiance-boosting cream for dry to normal skin. This luxurious, thick formulation is ideal for those with drier skin types, delivering targeted and intense hydration to the complexion. Skin if left feeling exceptionally soft and supple, and perfectly prepped for makeup application. With its energising dose of Vitamin C and Alchemilla, minor imperfections are reduced and skin is more even and perfected. Microcirculation in the face is boosted, making for a glowing complexion.Apply to the face and neck following an application of the Daily Energizer Wake-Up Booster in the morning, and after cleansing in the evening. Recommended for women in their 20's

Ingredients: Vitamin C, Alchemilla, and Turmeric Extracts reduce minor imperfections and Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract which boosts microcirculation

*Winner of Best Everyday Moisturiser- Red Best of Beauty Awards 2012

*Winner of Best Day Cream- Elle Beauty Awards 2011

- I tend to go for all products that claim to energize, brighten or give some sort of glow. I have been using this Clarins Daily Energizer  cream on/off for 3years and I love it. I always try other moisturisers but always come back. The smell is quite lovely and refreshing something apricot/citrus like I cant quite figure it ha!.. It makes my skin soft and hydrated, while being light enough and a good base for make-up. Its very light and non greasy on my normal/combo skin and another good thing is it doesnt clog pores. I think it also helps keep my skin blemish free and brightens up my complexion so I never look dull when Im using it. As with all products some people may break out due to the scent it has so I recommend getting samples if you have sensitive skin

Lancome Mousse Eclat Self Foaming Cleanser
Lancôme's Mousse Éclat foam activates with water to create an effective cleanser formulated with natural active ingredients to help exfoliate the skin, while preserving its youthful radiance. Its fresh formula gently cleanses away make–up and impurities to clarify the complexion, leaving your skin soft, radiant and healthy looking, and is suitable for normal to combination skin types.
- I really do love this cleanser I never had bad skin when I used it the whole of 2012. I wouldnt reach for it during winter months though as it can be a little drying but for the warmer months it perfect for me. I have a review of it it Here. Will be repurchasing when I have used up other cleansers Im currently using

                                  Habibi Organic Vanilla&Jasmine Body Balm

Organic Essential oils of Lavender, Chamomile, Vitamin E. Fragrance
-I really love this body balm its the best I have used to date. I have the ever so beautiful, friendly&helpful  Shahada  to thank for this one. She is one of my favourite bloggers/Makeup Artist ever. Need I say more you guys need to check her out if you havent. Back to the Body Balm -Not only does it smell divine but it leave my skin soft, supple and radiant and smelling delish. I really need more of this stuff hehe.

Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction Red Plum&Freesia  Smoothing Body Scrub
-A passionate romance of succulent red plum and sweet freesia.
Experience the luxury of fragrant cleansing. Dual-action sugar scrub gently exfoliates as it purifies. Lather on wet skin, focusing on rough spots, then rinse off for an all-over glow. Skin feels soft, smooth and touchable. I really like Victoria Secrets (who doesnt?) and I could literally live in that store everyday lol. I do love this scrub,it smells lovely and does the job so whats not to love

Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub

Rub Rub Rub is a bit of a variation on the normal shower gel. For one, it’s so thick we put it into a tub for handy scooping in the shower. Secondly, it’s a bright blue, supremely softening, exfoliating sea salt shower scrub to revive your skin. Sea salt is extra cleansing, mineral-rich and softening for the hair and body; you can even use it as a shampoo. Our rubby scrub is startlingly refreshing, with a dash of lemon juice and the tropical scent of mimosa blossoms for a light, blossom-scented wash and smoother skin

* Ingredients- Mineral Rich sea salt and Organic Lemon Juice
*Smells lovely because it has mimosa, jasmine and orange flower blossom absolutes
- This is a really good scrub,Lush has never disappointed me with their products. Rub Rub Rub is very cooling on the skin. The smell is quite refreshing/masculine like and makes my skin really soft after every use. I have also used it in my hair and it was just as good. I use this most Sundays when Im pampering myself with masks and all that. If you looking for a body scrub I would recommend giving this a go next time you pop into a Lush store

Lipstick loving- Mac Impassioned!

Hello Lovelies!

How has your week been?

Pink lipsticks are my absolute favourite to date and  that explains why over half my collection comprises of all types of pinks 80%  to be precise ha!. The weather seemed a bit sunny earlier this morning in London and I had to pull out one of my fave lipsticks by  Mac namely Impassioned. Its a bright pink red-the perfect spring/summer shade, the formula is quite creamy hence its Amplified creme and  it does stay put for couple of hours .Its long wearing so it can feel a bit dry but nothing a good lip balm or gloss cant solve. I have seen that this shade tends to look different on every skintone and in  lightings as well. On me it does come out bright pink

I also decided to give Chanel Perfection Lumiere foundation another chance and see how I feel about it. Last time I had Ambre #94 which is for Mac NC50's  although Im a tad lighter than NC50 which I thought was a good match but after a 14hour long day I couldnt help but noticed it oxidised  as the day went by and made me a look orangey . Whilst browsing at Chanel counter again I decided to get  samples of Ambre#114 which is a bit neutral than #94 Ambre , the one I am using today Ambre #114 looks okay but Im not quite impressed with it shade wise thus why i have put off buying the foundation since it launched. I do like Chanel Perfection Lumiere, It does give a flawless matte finish which stays put all day. looks like imma settle for #94 in the end

Didnt use flash in todays photos managed to grab a bit of natural light

Face
Chanel Perfection Lumiere foundation Ambre #114

Cheeks
Barry M powder blusher #4 Rasberry

Eyes
Maybelline Great lash mascara
Gosh velvet touch waterproof eyeliner in Green grass
L'oreal gel liner

Lips

Mac Amplified creme lipstick in Impassioned

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MAC IMPASSIONED?

Have a great day
Enjoy the rest of your week

Hello Chicas!

This is the nail polish I am wearing today. Its a nail paint from Barry M its bright yellow- green neon shade
Perfect from the spring/summer seasons but Alas, the weather is nowhere near summer here in London as usual its  actually raining. I always wear nail polish according to my mood, I applied Sally Hansen base coat then 2coats of Barry M Acid Yellow which is/was very sheer and takes a while to dry but nothing a blow drier cant handle ha! I quite like this shade its funky and affordable at £2.99 you can never go wrong with Barry M Nail paints there is so many shades to choose from if you are not brave for Acid Yellow. I may add Glitter polish on top later on

WHAT NAIL POLISH ARE YOU WEARING?

MAKEUP PURCHASES!

Hello Lovelies!

How have y'all been? Its been a while/months? since I last bought new makeup products I went browsing but being a makeup lover it never ends there does it?I picked up a few things that I had on my wishlist. My mission for this year is to try new products from various brands I havent tried before!

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine  #62 Monte Carlo
I  admit I love lipsticks and have wanted one of these for almost a year and I finally gave in.The shade Monte Carlo is a pretty pink red shade
As melt-away as a balm, its lip-embracing texture becomes fluid on contact with the lips and provides a stunning gloss effect with natural shine. Deliciously fresh and soft, it delivers an unforgettable sensation of well-being.Lips are enveloped in the incomparable comfort of continuous 8-hour-long hydration thanks to the Hydratender complex, the secret behind the softness of the ROUGE COCO range.Sparkling with vitality, your smile takes on a new sheer colour, from nude beige to tangy red.ROUGE COCO SHINE is available in 18 shades infused with luminosity allowing your smile adapts to portray emotion and desire of each day. From her first successes to magical encounters, the shade names tell the story of Coco Chanel at the dawn of her destiny"

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF15 in shade Warm Almond 6.5
A truly modern foundation that offers invisible, weightless coverage that looks like skin, not makeup. This long-wearing formula evens tone, minimises the appearance of pores, conceals imperfections, and offers broad spectrum UV protection. Its hydrating technology leaves skin feeling cushioned, comfortable, and clean. Ideal for combination, normal and normal to dry skins.
AN Award Winner! Winner of a Beauty Bible Anti-Ageing Award 2012. Best Base Range, In Style Best Beauty Buys 2011
- Basically I wanted a new lightweight foundation  for Spring /summer months so whilst in Selfridges I had a lengthy chat and makeover with a lovely MUA at Bobbi brown counter .She recommended the skin foundation  after cleansing my skin but I wasnt convinced so we tested  the Longlasting even finish, Luminous one and lastly the Skin foundation. She explained to me that I had good skin and didnt need full coverage foundation and I couldnt agree more because I dislike heavy foundations I like light to medium foundations that show my birth/beauty marks and allows skin to breathe. In the end I was happy with the Skin foundation and I purchased it

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Sin
This is it - THE most legendary primer in the beauty industry. Eyeshadow Primer Potion is coveted by makeup artists and makeup junkies alike because it guarantees more vibrant eyeshadow that lasts all day and NEVER CREASES! Once you experience its powers (plus how smoothly it glides on - an added bonus) you'll never want to live without it. This magic potion comes in an easy-to-squeeze tube with a needle nose tip so you can control how much you apply. You also now get more primer in every tube - 11 ml instead of the original 10!
This is a repurchase I have been using this for just over 3years which reminds me I have to do a review on it. I love the Sin primer potion because of the champagne colour,it can be used as an eyeshadow primer or as an eyeshadow itself. My eyeshadow stays put with the Urban Decay primer potion.  I have the one with the old packaging which is super annoying but am pleased that it now comes in a squeeze tube packaging.

Estee Lauder Pure Color High Gloss in #07 Flash Dance
Magnify. Intensify. Electrify. See how brilliant your lips can be. Drenches lips with the ultimate in sheer, intensely hydrating colour and shine. Exclusive True Vision™ Technology creates an irresistibly dazzling high-reflective finish that lasts and lasts. Rich, feel-good conditioners smooth and protect. The slanted applicator tip follows every curve of your lips for a sheer, lush, super shine. Enriched with skin conditioning ingredients and antioxidants, Vitamin E and Vitamin C. Now Im not usually a gloss type of person but lately I have found myself rushing in the morning after putting alarm on snooze *damn the cold winter mornings* and have no time to apply my intense lipsticks properly I have found myself reaching for the NYX  megashine lipglosses so I thought I would add another gloss to my collection as I havent had a chance to sit on ebay to order nyx ones from the States, This one from Estee Lauder smells yummy and I love that its not sticky and doesnt leave you with white gunk  ahem*mac lipglass am looking at u*! By the way the shade Flashdance is a hot fuschia pink looks like NYX megashine in dollypink which I really love

I also picked up a few sampless of other things I would love to try

Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face base 7ml sample
Rich in feel, but never greasy, this advanced oil-free, face moisturiser, with Shea Butter helps minimise the look of fine lines and wrinkles. With daily use, skin looks and feels its best. Bobbi recommends this moisturiser to prepare skin for the smoothest makeup application. Dermatologist-tested.
I have heard good things about this stuff and it has already been added to my never ending wishlist. Moisturiser and Primer in one yes please!

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Complex 7ml sample
You were born with beautiful-looking skin. Reclaim it with this comprehensive, high-performance anti-aging serum. 30 years of innovation. Inspired by groundbreaking DNA research. - Another product that has been hyped about and I been meaning to try it as I love the Estee Lauer Daywear cream and Idealist pore minimiser serum.Im not sure how I feel about the Advanced Night repair yet as I have only tried it once

GARNIER MOISTURE MATCH ILLUMINATING LIGHT LOTION

Hi Lovelies!

How are y'all? Hope your weekend has started off great
Im a sucker for all  products that claim to make the skin glow and or illuminate so am always on the hunt for the next best thing. My recent purchase has been Garnier Skin Naturals Moisture Match Protect and Glow Illuminating Light Lotion SPF20 50ml -(Wow what a mouthful)

Developed exclusively in the US labs, this weightless lotion contains Vitamin B3, Lemon extract and light reflecting pearls, to give a healthy-looking glow. Also containing SPF20 UVB sunscreen filters, the daily moisturiser protects as it hydrates without leaving any residue.

Formulated for Normal or Lacklustre skin

For starter I have normal combination skin with oily t-zone.The illuminating lotion is quite lovely it smells fresh and citrusy. It applies and absorbs easily onto the skin without being greasy. I was expecting it to have shimmer particles like other products which claim to illuminate but this doesnt so Im pleased with it,it brightens up my face in the morning making a great base for make up as well

What I love
Thick enough to hydrate skin but it doesnt feel greasy
Makes me look radiant
Doesnt clog my pores
Oil free
Has SPF20
Keeps my skin moisturised all day
Feels very lightweight and luxurious on skin
Very affordable at £5.99
No parabens
Suitable for sensitive skin

Dislikes
I have nothing bad to say about this cream,Garnier really did well with the moisture match range .I love it,it does what it claims to do I will be repurchasing and trying  the other moisture match lotions to meet my skincare needs as seasons change.

About Garniers Moisture Match
Not all skin is the same, so a tailor-made approach to your skincare routine is essential.
The five new Moisture Match moisturisers combines the best textures and ingredients with Mannose – a patented hydrating active ingredient – which works hard to help reinforce the skin’s barrier function and to improve the appearance of skin texture.
There are five moisturisers to choose from:
  • Goodbye Dry (for dry to very dry skin)
  • Start Afresh (for normal to dry skin)
  • Shine Be Gone (for combination to oily skin)
  • Wake Me Up (for dull skin)
  • Protect & Glow (for Normal skin)

*This retails for £5.99 but  I bought mines at Superdrug where they have it on special offer for £3.99
