Hello lovelies!




Long time no speak for! It’s been a very long time. I have missed you lots 🤗and I’m glad some of y’all are with me on Instagram 💖I hope you’re all well. Yes I’m very much alive , Instagram stole my soul and ran with it lol 😂  How have y’all been , your families , jobs , lives and all?!


For starters I turned 33 on the 4th of February, eek 😱 Time flies hey !? Rushes to but Anti ageing skincare 🤣🤣   ♒️ 🎉🎉🎉




A lot has happened since the last blog which I wrote donkey years ago. I was poorly at some point with Migraine and Anaemia but I have gotten so much better now. I still have a passion for all things beauty but I’m more into skincare now. I cut my hair short again , seems to have reduced Migraines! I try and eat healthily , get enough rest and not overthink about stuff in general. Less anxiety too as Im taking each day as it comes.




Skincare wise I have gone on to discover more fantastic brands such as Murad , Elemis , Ole Henriksen, Herbivore Botanicals  and Rodial just to name a few favourites. Im not promising but I shall try to post skincare , makeup etc  here every now and again hehe !

Colourpop Ultra Matte lip in Beeper 💄💋

Hello Beautiful People ❤️

Two posts in a week 🙀yay! Lol I feel like I have achieved so much hahaha!! Anyway so have really been into Colourpop Ultra matte lips lately and one of my favourites is Beeper!  Beeper is described as a Warm Mid Tone TAupe. It's a muted, medium dark rosy brown with subtle warm undertones but with a flat matte finish. Pigmentation is great . It lasted a good 6-7 hours on me before I could reapply. Closest shade to this is Mac Velvet Teddy or Charlotte Tilbury Very Victoria in case you can't get hold of Colourpop. I wish Colourpop can start shipping to the UK or open an online store for us! sigh!!!

New in: Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator in Peach Nectar❤️❤️❤️

How are y'all doing? Hope you are all all doing great. I'm excited to share with you my new illuminator from Anastasia Beverly Hills in Peach Nectar. I don't normally fall for hype but trust me you have to be living under a rock to miss the Anastasia Beverley Hills Illuminators. Everywhere I turned to on Instagram and YouTube all I could hear and see is Anastasia this or that!

I tried talking myself not to buying any but that was just an epic fail. The swatches were good, the reviews were fantastic so I jumped onto the Illuminator bandwagon

I ordered Peach Nectar from Cult Beauty Website and  I don't have anything like it in my collection.  Peach nectar is a pretty apricot gold shade and pigmentation is insane. The texture is smooth like butter and there is no chunks of glitter in the Illuminator. 

They are some things we just purchase simply due to hype on YouTube , Instagram  and other Social media platforms and end up regretting but I must tell you guys that this was the best £28 I have spent on an Illuminator. I'm really happy with my purchase and I can't wait to use it. I'm also eyeing The So Hollywood Illuminator which is a gold shade. The packaging is nice and classy just like other Anastasia Beverly Hills products.

Mini NYX haul :Selfridges!

Hello My Lovelies!

How are you all? Hope you are all well and everything is going on great for you guys. Anyway so today post is a Mini haul from NYX.

I went to London Oxford Street this weekend and whilst picking up a beauty blender and some Stila products in my favourite store ie Selfridges. I noticed NYX stand. I stood there amazed as I couldn't believe my eyes. Turns out Selfridges stocks part of the range whereas Boots will have the full range online. It came at a perfect time as I was rather sick and tired of paying ridiculous amount of money for NYX on EBay and nagging  family and friends to bring NYX from America lol. I quickly grabbed a few soft matte lip creams that had been on my wishlist forever. I also bought Tinted Brow mascara to set my eyebrows and the Conceal/Correct/Contour palette in Deep I think that's the darkest shade that was available. The prices were reasonably priced in my honest opinion and I do intend on picking a few more things in the near future

1- Prague which is a pretty pink shade

2- Copenhagen a pretty deep plum berry shade perfect for fall

3- Cannes a pretty nude shade, perfect for everyday use

4- Monte Carlo a deep toned red

I'm pleased with my purchases. Will do swatches and FOTD with the soft matte lip creams

Lips of the Day : Makeup Revolution Velvet Depravity Lip Lacquer!

Hello My Lovelies!

How have you all been? Hope life is treating you well.

I have really been into liquid lipsticks lately. The one I'm wearing today is from Makeup Revolution. The shade I have on is called Depravity. The shade is very pretty and pigmentation is amazing. On application it is not streaky and once it's on it doesn't budge. I do have to mention though that after 3-4 hours it feels a bit drying and it starts to crumble. All I have to do is wipe it off with makeup remover wipes and reapply. At the price of £3.00 one can't complain. I will definitely be buying more shades of the lip lacquers from Makeup Revolution

#Clarins Daily energizer cream- my morning face cream, leaves my face moisturised, smooth and glowy without being oily

#Yves Saint Laurent Forever light creator - this was an impulse buy but it's the perfect toner! I use it after cleansing , before serum and moisturiser.

#Lancome Mousse Eclat Cleanser- great cleanser for oily/combination skin. I tend to use this as my evening cleanser. It helps in removing dirt and oil as well as makeup. It's very gentle and yet effective, been using it for more than 2years

#Mac Lady Danger lipstick - a bright red/orange shade. I have had this shade on my wishlist for quite some time.  It is quite similar to my beloved Mac So Chaud but Lady Danger is just a tad more red. Will do a swatch comparison soon. 

#Urban Decay De Slick Makeup setting spray - this is a good setting spray if you have oily or combination skin. 

#Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion Original - this is another repurchase , my to go eyeshadow base, my eyeshadow stays in place all day when I use this primer

#Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte lipstick in shade #3   -You all know how I love Ysl products especially their lipsticks so I had to pick an everyday shade. Shade #3 is the perfect nude/beige for me and I'm sure it will suit many skintones too

#Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Mascara set - I love the mascara. Gives my lashes length and volume making me look like I have falsies. The eye cream and eye makeup are really great too have used them in the past as full sizes.

Lipstick loving: Mac Retro Matte Lipstick Relentlessly Red💄

Hello My Lovelies!

How have y'all been? It's been a while I put up a post but please do forgive me.my busy schedule won't allow me to post regularly. I do have a lot of makeup looks and a haul posts coming up shortly as I have purchased quite a number of skincare products and makeup since the last post

Anyways I have been loving this Retro Matte Lipstick from Mac by the name Relentlessly Red. The staying power is amazing and although it's a retro matte it isn't drying on my lips at all

Relentlessly Red is described as a bright pinkish coral matte but on me it pulls of as a dark coral red that is almost neon. I absolutely love the shade, it's unique and I have nothing like it in my collection.

Mini Black|Up Haul, Review and a FOTD!

during the festive holidays. 

I been meaning to try Black|Up Cosmetics for a while so whilst in Croydon I popped over by their counter in Debenhams. There was lots of products I wanted to purchase but I limited myself to two because I have never bought anything from the brand before. What I really loved is that this brand focuses on women of colour. As a woc myself I have problems finding the right foundation. Some foundations are either too red, too orange or oxidise as the day goes by.

I am happy with the products I purchased and I will definitely go back to their counter for other item I want to try such as the Two Way Cake, Matte primer, Fluid foundation ,lip lacquers , illuminator and the contour stick

Black|Up Full Coverage Cream Foundation 

Dark spots, scars, flaws and blemishes… This new foundation hides the most severe imperfections to create a flawless complexion without caking.

I was matched to shade HC07 but I think I have to go up a shade during winter. The texture of the foundation is thick and creamy but it blends smoothly. The finish is beautiful and flawless. I have combination skin leaning towards oily it lasts throughout the day. I wore it for about 12hrs and only blotted my t-zone once. Although it is oil free I advise that you use primer and a setting powder especially  if you Have oily skin.One thing I did observe was that the foundation transfers, I had migraine around noon and decided to take a 2hour nap , when I woke up the foundation had rubbed off onto my hand and cushion I lay my head on though it was still on my face

Overall I think this is a very good foundation if you prefer full coverage foundations. It photographs well

It did not clog my pores or break me out. It feels very light on the skin. I will definitely repurchase it ❤️

 

Black|Up Paris Lip Lacquer shade VL06
A true UFO on planet make-up that combines all the advantages of lipstick and lip gloss. Fusion between intense color and extreme shine, lips are outrageously lacquered and sophisticated for a never seen before make-up result. Its creamy texture provides perfect coverage in one step, even on the darkest lips. The color is ultra pure and very intense with 10 gorgeous and unique shades saturated in pigments.

I bought the shade VL06 which is a blue based violet . It is so pretty and it reminds me of Mac Heroine lipstick.  The lip lacquer is glossy but highly pigmented.  It is non sticky and doesn't leave me with white gunk around my lips. Lasting power is about 4hours before you have to reapply but as it fades it leaves the most gorgeous tint. I love this Lip lacquer and I shall be buying more shades.

Lipstick Loving - Burberry Lip Cover in Sepia No.12 💄💋

Hello Beautiful People!

It's been a while, how y'all doing? 

If you know me then you know I love me some pop of colour on my lips.  I don't really go for nude lipsticks because some tend to make me look sick or like I'm hungry or something lol.

 I bought this Burberry lipstick on a whim a few months ago and I absolutely love it! I think this shade will suit most skintones. My woc sisters you might need to check this out as it's the perfect nude for us. It is about 24quid 😁😁😁 expensive I know !but it's worth every penny! 

Burberry Sepia is moisturising and lasts for a couple hours maybe 5 before I have to reapply. The packaging is so beautiful , the texture, colour and everything about this lipstick is just amazing. I don't even need a lip liner with this lipstick 

This has been my to go look for the last quarter of the year.

Recent Buys: Yves Saint Laurent Fusion Ink Foundation, Touche Eclat Highlighter and Burberry Lip Cover ❤️

How has your week been? Hope y'all well. Just a quick post to share products I have bought recently.

Some of you may already know that I love anything and everything Yves Saint Laurent. It's my favourite brand and I have never found anything I disliked from skincare to makeup to fashion. Their products are just classy and packaging is to die for. I could spend all day talking about Ysl but let's get on to the products I bought

Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Encre De Peau Fusion Ink Foundation

All Day Perfection& Freedom, Featherlight texture

SPF18/ PA +++ 24 hour wear and comfort

-The first YSL foundation inspired by the use of ink, offers soft and comfortable wear until removal. It's hybrid technology generates a texture that feels as light and fine as ink and as concealing as a classic foundation

- The ultra smooth texture glides on effortlessly and melts into the skinfor an even, perfectly matte complexion. The texture is layered over the skin for made to measure coverage without any excess thickness. The result looks natural and imperceptible, offering all women the freedom of a perfect foundation all day long

What can I say about Ysl Fusion Ink foundation? I looooooooove this foundation. It's just perfect for my combination skin. It feels very light on the skin and gives a polished look like I'm one of them catwalk models lol. One of the main reasons I really love it is I found a perfect shade match BD65/Golden Beige. I couldn't find a perfect match in the Touché Eclat foundation so you can imagine how happy I was about the Fusion Ink. I'm about nc46/47 in Mac and a beige Praline #10 in Lancome foundations. In Estée Lauder doublewear foundation I'm shade Amber honey 5N2. If you don't like fragrance in your foundation or have sensitive skin you might want to get a tester before you commit yourself to buying Fusion Ink. It is expensive but I don't mind because it meets the criteria I look for in a foundation especially shade match and staying power. I put it on at 6am and take it off like 6pm and I only blot once in the afternoon. It doesn't oxidise and go orange (Mac studio fix fluid looking at you!) Overall I really love it, safe to say a holy grail in my makeup bag and I use it daily. 

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Highlighter #5 Luminous Honey

- Touche Eclat adds highlights , refreshes your makeup and brightens your complexion. Touche Eclat offsets the complexion's dulling tendencies and revives it's own natural glow by capturing and reflecting light 

- I once bought this before they discontinued #4 after a week I forgot my makeup bag on the Virgin train I was miserable for a few days lol but finally bit my lip and repurchased. I use this to highlight under my eyes. It brightens up my face. When used with Ysl Fusion Ink foundation mŷ face looks flawless. 

Burberry Lip Cover Soft Satin Lipstick - Sepia No.12

- Burberry Lip Cover adds a touch of radiance. The lightweight combination of nourishing oils and gel dispersed pigment ensures intense moisture and long lasting colour.

- Burberry Lip cover contains anti ageing cerramides for fuller lip definition

- shiny polymers offer perfect luminosity

Okay! I never planned on buying this 😳but after spotting the new Burberry counter in House of Fraser Oxford street how could I walk away empty handed lol. I love the packaging, the lipstick everything is just lush #teamburberry❤️ The colour I bought is called Sepia no. 12 which is a perfect nude for many skintones. I'm not too much into nude lips but this one might have converted me haha, I hope I don't get addicted to that Burberry counter lol. Makeup look wearing Burberry lip cover Sepia no. 9 is  coming shortly.
