Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Serum

Hey Lovelies hope you’re all well❤️

I’m  such a huge fan of Vitamin C products because of the benefits. I’m anaemic and sometimes I tend to look tired and dull no matter what , I hate when I get to work , meet clients or go to church and they say you look tired love, are you ok πŸ˜‘πŸ₯Ί Vitamin C is great for brightening and firming the skin , also stimulating collagen and speeding up cell turnover πŸŠ

Imagine my excitement when Ole Henriksen send me the latest Vitamin C serum, I’m an Ole Ambassador by the way. I love the Brand πŸ€©

This next-gen vitamin C serum combines three Ole Glow® icons—vitamin C, exfoliating acids and banana powder-inspired pigments—to instantly brighten and help defend skin against pollution, while delivering a sensorial experience you’ll love. And, with hyaluronic acid, it helps plump skin with hydration and reinforce skin’s moisture barrier.

CLAIMS:
• Targets major signs of aging
• Smoother, brighter, more even looking skin
• Improves brightness/radiance/glow
• Instantly hydrates/moisturizes skin

My thoughts πŸ’
This is a good brightening serum that I have started incorporating mainly in my morning routine and sometimes evening. It has the signature citrusy scent from the Truth range so be aware if you’re not a fan of fragrance or sensitive but it isn’t heavy or tacky on the skin. It feels very light and silky. I noticed my face becoming softer , hydrated and brighter. I have been using something else for dark spot however my skin seems to be extra glowy since I started using this serum πŸ€©πŸ§‘🍊✨

**PR Gifted** but opinions are πŸ’―my own

It’s #texturethursday with @freshbeauty Fresh Beauty Rose face mask πŸ₯€
Rose Face Mask hydrates and tones the complexion to restore radiance and suppleness to all skin types. The unique, cooling gel formula is infused with real rose petals that literally melt into the skin.

Key ingredients:
* Pure rosewater is notable for its soothing and toning properties.
* Cucumber extract and aloe vera gel help soothe the skin and have an immediate cooling and calming effect.
* Porphyridium cruentum, a 'smart' algae, delivers optimum moisture.
* Antioxidant-rich green tea helps to brighten and protect.

My thoughts πŸ’
I love this face mask! Its so hydrating and leaves my skin feeling soft and dewy. It’s silky smooth and hydrating with little rose petals inside .Texture is a jelly type substance , it is refreshing and smells delightful just like roses so bare that in mind before purchasing. Although my skin is combination to oily and sensitive this didn’t irritate me at all instead it was quite gentle and soothing. With regular use skin is left looking plump and healthy. Overall this is a great Mask for hydration ✅ Got it from @spacenk ❤️ #SpaceNK #FreshBeauty #RoseFaceMask #FreshBeautySkincare #RoseMask #FaceMask #Review

Mini Black|Up Haul, Review and a FOTD!

Hello Lovelies!

Compliments of the new season to y'all. Hope you had lovely time

during the festive holidays.

I been meaning to try Black|Up Cosmetics for a while so whilst in Croydon I popped over by their counter in Debenhams. There was lots of products I wanted to purchase but I limited myself to two because I have never bought anything from the brand before. What I really loved is that this brand focuses on women of colour. As a woc myself I have problems finding the right foundation. Some foundations are either too red, too orange or oxidise as the day goes by.

I am happy with the products I purchased and I will definitely go back to their counter for other item I want to try such as the Two Way Cake, Matte primer, Fluid foundation ,lip lacquers , illuminator and the contour stick

Black|Up Full Coverage Cream Foundation

Dark spots, scars, flaws and blemishes… This new foundation hides the most severe imperfections to create a flawless complexion without caking.

Its innovative formula and creamy texture perfectly conceals flaws and blemishes for a totally smooth looking skin.
Enriched in extremely fine, micronized pigments, the Full Coverage Cream Foundation offers an even make up in extremely pure and vibrant colors.

Pros❤️❤️❤️
- You don't need a lot to cover you face (pea sized)
- great staying power
- oil free
- blends easily
- non ashy
- full coverage
- easy to travel with as it's in a squeeze tube packaging
- fragrance free
- 15 shades to choose from

ConsπŸ‘Ž
- transfers easily
- price as it's more on the high end side

I was matched to shade HC07 but I think I have to go up a shade during winter. The texture of the foundation is thick and creamy but it blends smoothly. The finish is beautiful and flawless. I have combination skin leaning towards oily it lasts throughout the day. I wore it for about 12hrs and only blotted my t-zone once. Although it is oil free I advise that you use primer and a setting powder especially  if you Have oily skin. One thing I did observe was that the foundation transfers, I had migraine around noon and decided to take a 2hour nap , when I woke up the foundation had rubbed off onto my hand and cushion I lay my head on though it was still on my face

Overall I think this is a very good foundation if you prefer full coverage foundations. It photographs well
It did not clog my pores or break me out. It feels very light on the skin. I will definitely repurchase it ❤️

Black|Up Paris Lip Lacquer shade VL06
A true UFO on planet make-up that combines all the advantages of lipstick and lip gloss. Fusion between intense color and extreme shine, lips are outrageously lacquered and sophisticated for a never seen before make-up result. Its creamy texture provides perfect coverage in one step, even on the darkest lips. The color is ultra pure and very intense with 10 gorgeous and unique shades saturated in pigments.

I bought the shade VL06 which is a blue based violet . It is so pretty and it reminds me of Mac Heroine lipstick.  The lip lacquer is glossy but highly pigmented.  It is non sticky and doesn't leave me with white gunk around my lips. Lasting power is about 4hours before you have to reapply but as it fades it leaves the most gorgeous tint. I love this Lip lacquer and I shall be buying more shades.

Below I used the Black|Up Full coverage foundation and lip lacquer

Face
Smashbox Photofinish Light primer
Black|Up Cosmetics Full Coverage cream foundation in HC07
Nars Radiant creamy concealer in Caramel
Nars Albatross highlighter

Eyes
L'oreal Superliner Gel Intenza Pure Black
L'oreal Paris Miss Manga  Mega Volume Mascara in Purple

Lips
Black|Up Paris Lip lacquer in VL06

What do you guys think of my makeup?
Have you guys tried Black|Up Cosmetics?
What have you purchased recently?

Until next time
Have a wonderful weekend my Lovelies

Review-Estee Lauder Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher

Hello Lovelies!

How have y'all been? Back in December I bought Estee Lauder Idealist Pore Minimising serum on a whim without even sampling it. Why you may ask? All of a sudden I have enlarged pores and they were kinda depressing me when I look in the mirror so I thought hey why not invest in something to tackle this problem before it got outta hand. This serum has got to be the most expensive skincare product I own so far,I seriously didnt know what to expect to be honest but at a hefty tag I hoped we would live happily ever after lol

Benefits /Claims
*Pores instantly look a third smaller
*Refinishes skin texture
* Reveals more clarity, smoothness and luminosity
*Banishes and helps prevent flakiness, roughness and  dullness

How to Use
Apply every morning on clean skin, follow with moisturiser

Packaging
I really love the packaging, its nice and classy in my opinion
I love that it comes with a pump making it more hygienic

Skin type, Texture ,Scent
Estee Lauder claims that the serum is suitable for all skintypes but I can not support that statement as
Every person is different. However it suits my normal/combination skin with oily t-zone perfectly
It did not irritate me from first use or cause breakouts. The serum has a nice light fruity lime scent which I think is lovely and refreshing. The texture is very silky to the touch and it is not sticky at all

I love how this glides on my skin,I use 2-3 pumps and massage it in. My skin feels velvety and looks clear and poreless when I use the pore minimiser. The serum also acts as a face primer and prevents my makeup from sinking into my pores. I dont even use foundation primer anymore when am using Estee Lauder Idealist
The skin refinisher alsor help my makeup glide on better and stay fresh and put all day

Overall
I think this is the best 40quid I spend on a skincare product and I feel its worth it
I have used this daily ever since I purchased it ,it has made a difference to the texture and look of my skin. My pores havent disappeared completely but they certainly have been minimised. My skin looks even and feels silky smooth. If you are on the hunt for a pore minimiser I recommend you get samples to try at Estee Lauder counters. The Estee Pore minimising serum has found its place in my skincare routine and I will definitely be repurchasing. Im thinking of trying the Estee Advanced Night Repair as a night treatment

Where to purchase&cost
30ml for £40, 50ml for £54 and 75ml for £65
Can purchase from Estee Lauder direct,Estee Lauder counters in Boots, Selfridges, House of Fraser
John Lewis, Debenhams

Have you tried this
Have you tried any Estee Lauder products that you recommend?
Do you have enlarged pores&what do you use to keep them under control?

Have a wonderful day
Stay Beautiful&Blessed
Much Love
xoxo

Review: Simple Spotless Skin Cleansing Pads

Hello Beautiful People!

I am a massive fan of Simple from when I was a teen their products kept my skin clear and smooth you can find some of my reviews of their simple-kind-to-skin-deep-cleansing-face-mask and simple-radiance-brightening-cleansing-wipes

WHAT SIMPLE SAYS?
Get results from day 1 with our Spotless Skin Deep Clean Cleansing Pads.
Our special blend of cleansing goodness contains Zinc PCA, Chamomile and a natural antibacterial, Phytosphingosine, which helps to deep clean the T Zone which is commonly prone to blackheads and blemishes, while the textured pads help to exfoliate the skin. Perfect for even sensitive skin.
  • Results from day 1
  • Skin cleansing ingredients
  • Natural antibacterial
  • No perfume, no colour no unnecessary ingredients so it won't upset your skin
  • Dermatologically tested and approved

How to Use

Sweep pads lightly over face.
Do not rinse off.
After use, dispose of pads in the bin, do not flush.
Use as part of a Spotless Skin regime.

INGREDIENTS
Aqua, Propylene Glycol, Cetearyl Isononanoate, Sodium Citrate, Zinc PCA, Ceteareth-20, Cetearyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, Methylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Dipropylene Gycol, 2-Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1,3-Diol, Propylparaben, Ceteareth-12, Phytospringosine HCI, Citric Acid, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia Oil, Linalool

MY THOUGHTS
Month of September my face was a little problematic prolly due to stress or hormones i dont know or maybe the fact I was panicking about returning to Uni yes Im a panicky and anxious person sometimes , my face felt a bit irritated, minor itching and had a bit of redness so these pads came at the perfect time
After cleansing my face at night I skipped toner and used these instead and  went to bed I noticed when I woke up my skin was calm and the redness was gone

With continued everyday use of up to a month my skin was no longer irritated,it was back to normal. Before I used this my skin was a bit oily but using the pads everyday made my face return to its normal condition. The pads do smell very clean and does calm a lot for redness. Now  please bare in mind my skin is not problematic  at all so I wouldnt know how these would work for someone with acne, pimples, severe breakouts

The pads themselves are really good but you have to be gentle as they may feel a little scratchy, as you swipe them on your skin you will feel them exfoliate your skin

Overall Im pleased with the cleansing pads  they did help calm my skin and redness but Im not happy about the size of the pads as I think they should have been made as the size of regular simple wipes which are great by the way.

*Disclosure* Product sent by PR for trial and review purposes, I was not paid to do this review. Opinions are 100% my own

Where to buy
You can purchase these from BOOTS  60pads for £4.99

Athenaeum Spa

Hello Beautiful People

The BFF and I decided we needed some form of  spa treatment as we have been so occupied& havent gone on holiday for a while. I took a few days browsing on Wahanda website trying to find great deals for the two of us and I finally decided  on the  2 FOR 1WHATS NOT TO LOVE PAMPER PACKAGE for £100 with 2treatments in at half an hour each with the choice of a Facial OR MassageOR Body Exfoliation OR Body Wrap and use of Wet Spa facilities for an hour

Okay so Thursday morning 4th October I tag alongside my friend to the Spa which is located in the beautiful 5star Athenaeum hotel in Green Park our appointment was 11am we got there 20minutes before time becoz errmmmm I  am a punctual person

ATHENAEUM HOTEL is located 6 minutes from Hyde Park Corner and about 10 minutes from Buckingham Palace
Upon arrival we were greeted, quickly escorted to the stairs in the basement of the hotel where the Spa is located.
At the Spa reception there were Elemis products on display like stand which I forgot to take a picture of but we were welcomed in a nice way asked about what treatments we wanted me & the Bff chose to have a facial&body wrap, we were shown changing rooms and forms to fill after we finished
and here are a few pictures from changing room which is quite small but still nice
Ren Citrus handwash
Ren Grapeseed,Jojoba and Shea butter body cream
There's body butters onto the wall, Treatment prices for the Spa and a blow drier and a  huge mirror
shower area in changing, really nice btw

I really love the design on the wall  ,nice clean bathrobs , my friend and I and the next lady already had ours
I took this picture standing by the door so as you can tell the place is quite small
We finished changing and headed towards wet area to fill forms about our skin type etc After a few minutes we were taken into treatment rooms

Treatment room&beds, sorry this picture is dark but I hope you get an idea lol

Products used for treatments

Had to use flash on my camera to get the products upclose.
They used Ren Products for our treatments which I really love by the way

So our beauty therapists werent all that chatty but they answered every question I heard. Apparently we had the Ren Bespoke Facial which is deep cleanses the skin, tones and lifts the skin so that you feel fresh and revitalised. The facial was really nice the whole cleanse, tone, scrub, mask&moisturise process,I loved it and Im sure it did something that other people can see because its been non stop compliments since the facial. Personally when I touch my skin it feels so soft as a baby's bottom, I seem poreless and my skin jus feels beautiful to be honest

and

The Sea weed Body wrap which I never want to have again. Apparently sI heard body wraps are great at hydrating the skin, riding the body of toxins and in some cases help lose inches. Whichever way Im not having that treatment again neither is my friend. The process is to apply like a sea weed or coconut like mask onto the body mainly legs, hands, tummy and breasts if you like but I chose not to have it on my breasts. It feels really cold on application after applying you are wrapped up into some form of plastic and left for like 20 mins. During those 20mins the therapists left the room and I just remained silent. I started feeling really cold with the plastics and it started to itch me body and making me uncomfortable. At first I thought it was me alone suffering so I asked my friend if she feels weird at all,she didnt even need to answer because she burst out laughing&yes I knew I wasnt so weird after all. Honestly I do not care what that treatment does but I wont be having it again,it was so cold&room temperature was a bit blah. I have never felt like a snail/slug in my entire life but at that very moment I thought I was one

After 20minutes the therapists came to remove our face&eye masks and moisturise our face. We were told we can now wipe of the body mask thingy , at that moment I just sang hallelujah and hurried to rinse ourselves in the shower and  go use wet area. We were told to help ourselves to fruits, juices and lots of water in the sitting area

Display of nail polishes for those coming for mani&pedicures!
Display of products on sale mainly from Ren and Elemis
Table in sitting area
other chairs to relax and I think they have some jewllery on sale right at the corner if my memory saves me right
sofa in the sitting area
Table with fruits,water and juices
Jaccuzis in the wet area!
Towels in wet area
Sitting chairs in wet area
I went into the jacuzzi whilst my friend went into the sauna, I dont do steamers&saunas I will just lose breath&faint. I forgot to take picture of sauna though but I can tell u its very small but nice

OVERALL
The Athenaeum Spa is Unisex so can make you a bit uncomfortable and the Spa is fairly small but luxurious. The staff were okay and answered all my questions. I think its a great package and good value for money as well. I would definitely return for the facial  in the future and something else maybe as they also do manicure, pedicure, massage and body exfoliation.  I definitely recommend checking it out if you in London. My friend and I had a lovely time

Review:Skintopia Skin Belief Face Serum

I was recently sent a sample of Skintopia Skin Belief Serum which claims to revitalise ageing skin and reduce fine lines and under eye shadows

Being a mid twenty something Im not exactly battling wrinkles at this stage but being the beauty lover  that I am  I just thought the serum would benefit my skin somehow.

Skin Belief Serum is a Universal serum from Skintopia that will revitalise your ageing skin

The serum contains Centella Asiatica Extract which will reduce the fine lines, wrinkles and under eye shadows

By using Gamma (Aminobutyric Acid) GABA it reduces the effect of ageing, this is done by mimicking Botox acting as a safe muscle relaxant. Apremium bottle at an affordable price

This will smooth out any lines capturing your youthful looking contours and leaving your skin feeling soft, revitalised and rejuvenated.

Usage
The serum should be used once or twice a day after cleansing and before moisturising. A small amount of serum should be massaged into the skin concentrating around the eye area but avoiding contact with the eyes. For me personally I found it too strong for my normal combo skin which can be sensitive at times so I apply it just once at night time

Texture
The serum is light and you only need a small amount. It glides smoothly onto the skin and is easily absorbed. It leaves an almost matte look without the greasiness of some serums I have tried. Skin Belief has a refreshing fragrance that isnt too overpowering but it does tingle on your skin as you apply it but eventually that will stop when it dries.

Overall
Like I have said I dont have any wrinkles, under eye shadows or fine lines but I have definitely seen an improvement past one month using it daily. I have minor hyperpigmentation and that seems to have reduced,my skin feels softer and looks more even toned.

The Skintopia Skin belief serum retails at £44.94 and you can find out more about the ingredients and purchase at  www.skintopia.co.uk

Review: Becca Cosmetics Mattifying Primer

Hello Chicas!

I have been using the Becca Cosmetics Mattifying primer for just over a month on a regular basis and today I will share my thoughts on it. I purchased this on Apothica through the gift certificate  issued by sponsors of Sharon's Makeup Diary ie Skincarerx

WHAT BECCA CLAIMS
BECCA Mattifying Primer, with anti-oxidant vitamin E, works to visibly improve the look and texture of the skin by smoothing fine lines and pores to create an even canvas for makeup. It helps the skin retain moisture without a greasy feel, giving a matte finish to oilier, shiny skin and extending the wear of both liquid and cream makeup

My Experience
I found that the texture of the Becca mattifying primer is similar to that of a moisturiser. It easily blended onto my skin and felt very lightweight too. I love the fact that the tube comes in a squeezable black tube making it easier to control how much product I wanted to use without wasting it

I have normal/combination skin with a somewhat oily T-Zone. I use this mainly  on my T-Zone and cheek area where I tend to have large pores.

I love this makeup primer it goes on smoothly, feels great, helps my makeup glide on easily whilst smoothing my pores and prolonging the wear of my makeup. I have also noticed my makeup stays fresh

Overall
I really recommend this primer, its one of the best I have tried to date and it even  knocks down my previous favourite ie the Giorgio Armani fluid master primer which I really liked but after 4-5hours my T-zone needed touching up considering my skin aint even oily.

Becca Mattifying  Primer would be excellent for combination and oily skin types,if you have dry skin I suggest  you stay away from this particular primer as it will dry you out (tested on drier parts of my face. This  primer  does hold makeup very well and has a mattifying effect when applied to the skin and it did not break me out

Price&Availability
You can buy this primer from SkinCareRx  with other Becca Cosmetics products and other amazing skincare products such as TOPIX, Juice Beauty Organics,SkinCeuticals, Dr Hauschka  and other various ones from their sister websites Apothica and Skinbotanica. Im sure you will  all have a great time shopping around these sites as they also carry most popular  Makeup brands

Have you tried this primer??
Have you tried any Becca Cosmetics products???

Review: Anastasia Lash Genius Waterproof Topcoat

Hello Lovelies!

How have y'all been???

In the past I have avoided waterproof mascaras as they tend to clump on my lashes, sticking them together and just leave them feeling dry so when I was sent the Lash Genius I was a little bit sceptical because I didnt know if it would work at all but being the beauty and makeup addict I am,I had to give it a try to find out

It came with a booklet full of instrustions and pictures and all the information about Lash Genius
I found it very useful

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens

Suggested Usage:
-Carefully apply one or two coats on top of mascara to waterproof and refresh.
-To remove, use waterproof eye makeup remover.

Precautions
-Discontinue use if signs of rash or irritation appear.

After a month of testing the Lash Genius I must say Im wowed by this baby.
I don't really need waterproof mascara but for those that do this is a great choice. I think its reasonable to buy the Lash Genius alongside your favourite mascara and you can use it as and when you need to. Lash Genius would be super to use if you have watery eyes,on your wedding day, when going swimming,to the beach and to the gym when you getting all sweaty

Lash Genius is  also perfect for  those spring/summer months for someone like me when my eyes get watery due to hayfever. It is really a great product for those who tend to rub their eyes frequently or sweat a lot

I tested Lash Genius at home in the shower and it stayed put,my mascara did not budge at all

WHAT I LIKED ABOUT LASH GENIUS
Doesnt change colour of your mascara
Doesnt change consistency of mascara
It was super easy to remove with any eye makeup remover
Didnt irritate my eyes
My lashes didnt feel dry
My lashes still looked fresh and fly after a 15hour long day

DISLIKES
I have nothing bad to say about Lash Genius

Lash Genius is a great product and I would recommend everyone to try it especially if you are in search of a waterproof mascara
