This or That Makeup Tag!

Hello Beautiful People!

I was tagged by Miss Dre of http://www.soshewritesbymissdre.com to do this tag a few weeks back and its only now I have had the chance to do it. I love Miss Dre's blog which is a mixture of beauty, music, lifestyle and fashion posts. If you havent checked her out I dont know what you are waiting for lol

Blush or Bronzer? I'm a blush gal anytime I have makeup I havent found perfect bronzer as of yet but Im hoping to purchase a Bobbi Brown one soon.

Lipgloss or Lipstick?   Im a lipstick addict now although I was strictly a gloss girl in my teens. My fave lipsticks are the Amplified finishes from Mac and YSL Rouge Voluptes

Chapstick or Lip Butter? I have to say Chapsticks as I have found Revlon lip butters to be too minty for my liking

Matte or Sparkle Eye Shadow? I barely wear eyeshadows nowadays but when I do I prefer sparkle eyeshadows ,matte ones just tend to be a bit blah for me

Gel, Liquid, Cream, or Pencil Eyeliner? Liquid liner all the way. I lovee  precise felt tip liquid liner my faves are L'oreal perfect Slim and Nars Eyeliner stylo in Nuits blanches

Foundation or Concealer? Foundation. Believe it or not I hardly use concealer, I love natural finish foundation with light to medium coverages

Liquid or Powder Foundation? Liquid foundation. Powder foundation just doesnt appeal to me apart from the fact it looks cakey on my skin

Neutral or Statement Eyes? I create statement eyes just for fun being at hoe and experimenting but on a day to day basis you will see me with plain neutral eye looks

Pressed or Loose Shadows? Pressed shadows. Loose shadows are quite messy and difficult to carry around.

Waterproof or Non Waterproof? Mascara? I tend to buy non waterproof mascaras all the time its just a preference

Brushes, Sponges or Fingers? Brushes. For foundation I use flat top Kabuki which lives you with airbrushed flawless face. I use Avon angled brush for blush and the Mac 217 if im wearing eyeshadows.

Powder, Cream, or Liquid Highlighter? Im still on the hunt for perfect highlighter but so far been loving liquid highlighter which is the Benefit High beam one

Thanks for tagging me, Miss Dre! I enjoyed the tag ! I would love all of you beauty lovers to do this tag!! I specifically tag:

Nails of the day: Wet n Wild Nail colour in Rustic 233

    Hello Chicas!

I was rocking this gorgeous brown nail polish the other day. I normally wouldnt buy/wear brown shades as I think they dont really show up on my skintone. Rustic is a very pretty shade,I applied one coat after Barry M nail base, the colur was so easy to apply with no streaks.

Rustic did start chipping after 2days but never mind I like it anyways

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS SHADE
WHAT NAIL POLISH ARE YOU WEARING???

    Athenaeum Spa

    Hello Beautiful People

The BFF and I decided we needed some form of  spa treatment as we have been so occupied& havent gone on holiday for a while. I took a few days browsing on Wahanda website trying to find great deals for the two of us and I finally decided  on the  2 FOR 1WHATS NOT TO LOVE PAMPER PACKAGE for £100 with 2treatments in at half an hour each with the choice of a Facial OR MassageOR Body Exfoliation OR Body Wrap and use of Wet Spa facilities for an hour

Okay so Thursday morning 4th October I tag alongside my friend to the Spa which is located in the beautiful 5star Athenaeum hotel in Green Park our appointment was 11am we got there 20minutes before time becoz errmmmm I  am a punctual person

ATHENAEUM HOTEL is located 6 minutes from Hyde Park Corner and about 10 minutes from Buckingham Palace
Upon arrival we were greeted, quickly escorted to the stairs in the basement of the hotel where the Spa is located.
At the Spa reception there were Elemis products on display like stand which I forgot to take a picture of but we were welcomed in a nice way asked about what treatments we wanted me & the Bff chose to have a facial&body wrap, we were shown changing rooms and forms to fill after we finished
and here are a few pictures from changing room which is quite small but still nice
    Ren Citrus handwash
Ren Grapeseed,Jojoba and Shea butter body cream
There's body butters onto the wall, Treatment prices for the Spa and a blow drier and a  huge mirror
shower area in changing, really nice btw

I really love the design on the wall  ,nice clean bathrobs , my friend and I and the next lady already had ours
I took this picture standing by the door so as you can tell the place is quite small
We finished changing and headed towards wet area to fill forms about our skin type etc After a few minutes we were taken into treatment rooms

Treatment room&beds, sorry this picture is dark but I hope you get an idea lol

    Products used for treatments

Had to use flash on my camera to get the products upclose.
They used Ren Products for our treatments which I really love by the way

So our beauty therapists werent all that chatty but they answered every question I heard. Apparently we had the Ren Bespoke Facial which is deep cleanses the skin, tones and lifts the skin so that you feel fresh and revitalised. The facial was really nice the whole cleanse, tone, scrub, mask&moisturise process,I loved it and Im sure it did something that other people can see because its been non stop compliments since the facial. Personally when I touch my skin it feels so soft as a baby's bottom, I seem poreless and my skin jus feels beautiful to be honest

    and

The Sea weed Body wrap which I never want to have again. Apparently sI heard body wraps are great at hydrating the skin, riding the body of toxins and in some cases help lose inches. Whichever way Im not having that treatment again neither is my friend. The process is to apply like a sea weed or coconut like mask onto the body mainly legs, hands, tummy and breasts if you like but I chose not to have it on my breasts. It feels really cold on application after applying you are wrapped up into some form of plastic and left for like 20 mins. During those 20mins the therapists left the room and I just remained silent. I started feeling really cold with the plastics and it started to itch me body and making me uncomfortable. At first I thought it was me alone suffering so I asked my friend if she feels weird at all,she didnt even need to answer because she burst out laughing&yes I knew I wasnt so weird after all. Honestly I do not care what that treatment does but I wont be having it again,it was so cold&room temperature was a bit blah. I have never felt like a snail/slug in my entire life but at that very moment I thought I was one

After 20minutes the therapists came to remove our face&eye masks and moisturise our face. We were told we can now wipe of the body mask thingy , at that moment I just sang hallelujah and hurried to rinse ourselves in the shower and  go use wet area. We were told to help ourselves to fruits, juices and lots of water in the sitting area

Display of nail polishes for those coming for mani&pedicures!
Display of products on sale mainly from Ren and Elemis
    Table in sitting area
other chairs to relax and I think they have some jewllery on sale right at the corner if my memory saves me right
    sofa in the sitting area
    Table with fruits,water and juices
    Jaccuzis in the wet area!
    Towels in wet area
    Sitting chairs in wet area
I went into the jacuzzi whilst my friend went into the sauna, I dont do steamers&saunas I will just lose breath&faint. I forgot to take picture of sauna though but I can tell u its very small but nice

    OVERALL
The Athenaeum Spa is Unisex so can make you a bit uncomfortable and the Spa is fairly small but luxurious. The staff were okay and answered all my questions. I think its a great package and good value for money as well. I would definitely return for the facial  in the future and something else maybe as they also do manicure, pedicure, massage and body exfoliation.  I definitely recommend checking it out if you in London. My friend and I had a lovely time

    Review:Skintopia Skin Belief Face Serum

I was recently sent a sample of Skintopia Skin Belief Serum which claims to revitalise ageing skin and reduce fine lines and under eye shadows

Being a mid twenty something Im not exactly battling wrinkles at this stage but being the beauty lover  that I am  I just thought the serum would benefit my skin somehow.

Skin Belief Serum is a Universal serum from Skintopia that will revitalise your ageing skin

The serum contains Centella Asiatica Extract which will reduce the fine lines, wrinkles and under eye shadows

By using Gamma (Aminobutyric Acid) GABA it reduces the effect of ageing, this is done by mimicking Botox acting as a safe muscle relaxant. Apremium bottle at an affordable price

This will smooth out any lines capturing your youthful looking contours and leaving your skin feeling soft, revitalised and rejuvenated.

    Usage
The serum should be used once or twice a day after cleansing and before moisturising. A small amount of serum should be massaged into the skin concentrating around the eye area but avoiding contact with the eyes. For me personally I found it too strong for my normal combo skin which can be sensitive at times so I apply it just once at night time

    Texture
The serum is light and you only need a small amount. It glides smoothly onto the skin and is easily absorbed. It leaves an almost matte look without the greasiness of some serums I have tried. Skin Belief has a refreshing fragrance that isnt too overpowering but it does tingle on your skin as you apply it but eventually that will stop when it dries.

    Overall
Like I have said I dont have any wrinkles, under eye shadows or fine lines but I have definitely seen an improvement past one month using it daily. I have minor hyperpigmentation and that seems to have reduced,my skin feels softer and looks more even toned.

The Skintopia Skin belief serum retails at £44.94 and you can find out more about the ingredients and purchase at  www.skintopia.co.uk

Disclaimer: Product Sample was sent to me by PR for trial and review purposes,I was not paid to do this review and opinions are 100% my own

    Review: Becca Cosmetics Mattifying Primer

    Hello Chicas!

I have been using the Becca Cosmetics Mattifying primer for just over a month on a regular basis and today I will share my thoughts on it. I purchased this on Apothica through the gift certificate  issued by sponsors of Sharon's Makeup Diary ie Skincarerx

    WHAT BECCA CLAIMS
BECCA Mattifying Primer, with anti-oxidant vitamin E, works to visibly improve the look and texture of the skin by smoothing fine lines and pores to create an even canvas for makeup. It helps the skin retain moisture without a greasy feel, giving a matte finish to oilier, shiny skin and extending the wear of both liquid and cream makeup

    My Experience
I found that the texture of the Becca mattifying primer is similar to that of a moisturiser. It easily blended onto my skin and felt very lightweight too. I love the fact that the tube comes in a squeezable black tube making it easier to control how much product I wanted to use without wasting it

I have normal/combination skin with a somewhat oily T-Zone. I use this mainly  on my T-Zone and cheek area where I tend to have large pores.

I love this makeup primer it goes on smoothly, feels great, helps my makeup glide on easily whilst smoothing my pores and prolonging the wear of my makeup. I have also noticed my makeup stays fresh

    Overall
I really recommend this primer, its one of the best I have tried to date and it even  knocks down my previous favourite ie the Giorgio Armani fluid master primer which I really liked but after 4-5hours my T-zone needed touching up considering my skin aint even oily.

Becca Mattifying  Primer would be excellent for combination and oily skin types,if you have dry skin I suggest  you stay away from this particular primer as it will dry you out (tested on drier parts of my face. This  primer  does hold makeup very well and has a mattifying effect when applied to the skin and it did not break me out

    Price&Availability
You can buy this primer from SkinCareRx  with other Becca Cosmetics products and other amazing skincare products such as TOPIX, Juice Beauty Organics,SkinCeuticals, Dr Hauschka  and other various ones from their sister websites Apothica and Skinbotanica. Im sure you will  all have a great time shopping around these sites as they also carry most popular  Makeup brands

    Have you tried this primer??
Have you tried any Becca Cosmetics products???

    FOTD: Sometimes less is more!

    Hello Beautiful Chicas!

Several times I get a lot of comments from family&friends saying  that I dont need to wear makeup because my skin looks good! I mean ,I am just a girl who loves makeup and its one of those things that makes me happy. I have so much fun applying different foundations, experimenting with different blushes and rocking hot lip shades from various brands and thats just me.

I have come to realise I really dont need that much makeup daily, just a touch of foundation, eyeliner, mascara, blush and lipstick and Im ready to hit the road. All the other colourful makeup looks I create just for fun to be honest. My skin is not perfect but just alright,I do my very best to keep it clear.I get the odd pimple and hormone breakout once in a while and thats just about it

This is my current everyday look but I switch up blush, foundation and lipstick depending on my mood and what coverage I want for that particular day. I love light to medium coverage foundations that dont feel heavy and clog my pores but most importantly they should give a natural finished look without looking like a mask.

Here is the look I have been rocking past for a fortnight or so

    Face
YSL Perfect touch Radiant Brush foundation #10 Cinnamon

    Cheeks
    Becca Cosmetics creme blush Dahlia

    Eyes
    Ysl  Mascara Singulier
Rimmel kohl eyeliner in jet black

    Lips
    Iman lip pencil in Espresso
    Sleek Peaches and Cream lipstick

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS LOOK
WHAT KINDA MAKEUP DO YOU WEAR DAILY?

    Have a wonderful day
    Stay Beautiful&Blessed
    Much Love
    xoxo
